An indulgent yet incredibly easy dessert that will be the perfect end to any winter meal.
PREP TIME: 5 MINS | COOK TIME: 20 MINUTES | SERVES 6
- 3 large pears
- 100g butter
- 3 tablespoons Lavender & Lime Dried Fruit & Rooibos Balsamic Syrup plus extra to serve.
1Pre-heat the oven to 200C.
2Half and core the pears. Do not peel them.
3Melt the butter in a heavy based, oven safe pan and add the balsamic syrup. Put the pears in the pan, cut side down and sauté them for 2 minutes.
4Place the pan in the oven and bake for 15 – 20 minutes, depending on the ripeness of the pears.
5Drizzle with some more Rooibos & Dried Fruit Balsamic Syrup and sprinkle with fresh thyme.
Serve with whipped cream, ice-cream or a good quality blue cheese. Add a generous drizzle of Lavender & Lime Dried Fruit & Rooibos Balsamic Syrup to serve.
*Tip: add some crushed roasted nuts for some added texture.
