Sticky Balsamic Roasted Pears

An indulgent yet incredibly easy dessert that will be the perfect end to any winter meal.

- 3 large pears
- 100g butter
- 3 tablespoons Lavender & Lime Dried Fruit & Rooibos Balsamic Syrup plus extra to serve.

[dropcap]1[/dropcap]Pre-heat the oven to 200C.
[divider style=”normal” top=”10″ bottom=”20″][dropcap]2[/dropcap]Half and core the pears. Do not peel them.
[divider style=”normal” top=”10″ bottom=”20″][dropcap]3[/dropcap]Melt the butter in a heavy based, oven safe pan and add the balsamic syrup. Put the pears in the pan, cut side down and sauté them for 2 minutes.
[divider style=”normal” top=”10″ bottom=”20″][dropcap]4[/dropcap]Place the pan in the oven and bake for 15 – 20 minutes, depending on the ripeness of the pears.
[divider style=”normal” top=”10″ bottom=”20″][dropcap]5[/dropcap]Drizzle with some more Rooibos & Dried Fruit Balsamic Syrup and sprinkle with fresh thyme.
Serve with whipped cream, ice-cream or a good quality blue cheese. Add a generous drizzle of Lavender & Lime Dried Fruit & Rooibos Balsamic Syrup to serve.
*Tip: add some crushed roasted nuts for some added texture.
